Subject: Invitation to participate in Budget 2009 e-Townhall webchat in Chinese

Dear Friends,

Greetings from REACH!

Budget 2009 will be announced on 22 January 2009. The annual *** Budget is of significance to all Singaporeans and with the economy facing recession, public interest in the Budget is heightened this year. The *** had earlier announced that Budget 2009 would be one targeted at helping businesses and workers to tide over the downturn. In view of this, REACH will be conducting a feedback exercise immediately after the Budget announcement to gather views on how the public feels about the various measures announced in the Budget. The feedback exercise will be conducted via multiple channels such as emails, ***S (97732587), online discussion forums, e-polls, REACH Singapore Facebook Group and e-Townhall webchats, to enable Singaporeans from all sectors to share their views with us.

We held our inaugural Chinese e-Townhall webchat during the National Day Rally 2008 Feedback Exercise in August, which was met with enthusiastic response from the participants. In view of this, we will be organising an e-Townhall webchat in Chinese for the Budget 2009 Feedback exercise on 23 January 2009 from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm.
We would like to invite you to participate in the e-Townhall webchat. To sign up for the webchat, simply fill in the reply slip attached and email it back to us by 31 December 2008. Please note that to take part in the webchat, your computer needs to be enabled with the Chinese software and you should be able to type in Chinese. Kindly also note that pre-registration is required for the e-Townhall webchat as admin instructions will be issued to you after registration to guide you on how you can log in to participate in the session.
